Application for membership of the Ramblers’ can be made on-line through our national website: http://www.ramblers.org.uk/membership/about/joinand-share-the-joy.htm
You may elect to be allocated to the Alde Valley Group (Code SK-07), the Alde Valley Footpath Working Party Group (Code SK-70) or any other group. Otherwise, new members will be allocated to the Area and Group in whose territory they live. Some members join us purely to support our campaigning work and choose not to belong to a group at all. Others choose a group in a different part of the County or indeed the Country.
As a member, you are free to walk with any of the Ramblers' groups.
New members allocated to Alde Valley Group will receive a welcome pack and the latest copy of our Area News and our Group Walks Programme. Further issues are sent out when published. Members are encouraged to save costs by opting to receive these electronically and the Area News is available on our Area website - http://www.suffolkramblers.org.uk/
New VOLUNTEERS are always welcome to take up positions on the committee, to lead walks and to join our working parties.
We hold an annual general meeting each year. The next one will be on Wednesday 16 November 2016, at the Quaker Meeting House, Waterloo Road, Leiston. All members are encouraged to attend. Non-members will be welcome although they cannot vote.
